Peanut Butter & Jelly Smoothie Bowl
PB & J Smoothie Bowl!!
Is there any better way to show someone you love them than with food? Ok, maybe there are a few ways (teehee), but food is a damn good one! This PB&J Smoothie Bowl is a perfect way to say I-heart-you, not only because is so effing tasty, but because its healthy too! Only whole food here people!
It's just basic ingredients here, frozen banana, berries, and peanut butter (duh)! And if you are doing Whole 30, you could totally swap the peanuts for almonds. Like most of my recipes, its user friendly, so there's room for you to add your own flare, if desired.
This smoothie bowl is so awesome, because not only do I love it, but my toddler LOVES it. Its a sure way to get her to eat a healthy meal, easily. She starts dancing when I turn on the blender! Oh! And I use a NutriBullet for my smoothies. I do have to practice patience while its blending the ice, frozen fruit, and frozen bananas, but it's a good option for blending smoothies.
Here's the deets...
PB&J Smoothie Bowl Ingredients
- 1 1/2 FROZEN banana
- 1/3 Cup frozen raspberries
- 5 frozen strawberries
- 2 Tbsp peanut butter (could use almond butter if you want)
- 1/3-1/2 Cup non dairy milk or coconut water
- 5 ice cubes
Blend & top with desired toppings! I used chopped peanuts and sliced strawberries. Yummmm!
xx
