Oli's Chocolate Milkshake

Lately, Oil has been requesting a chocolate milkshake for breakfast. I’m like “gurl byyyyye!’ But then I realized that in order to get her to do her homeschooling, I need some bribery tools. So I’ve begun making her a super tasty chocolate milkshake that is all good stuff and no added sugar. It’s so good that now I make extra. Some for her, more for me!

This is the perfect shake to add greens or berries to, if you like, or you can bump it up with chocolate chips and chopped nuts, if you’re feeling a super sweet treat. It’s got minimal ingredients and whips up in a cinch.

The only “non-negotiable” about this recipe is that you must use FROZEN BANANAS. A non-frozen banana just won’t be the same, trust me on this.

Oli’s Chocolate Milkshake!

  • 1 1/2 frozen bananas

  • 1 large medjool date

  • 1 tbsp almond butter (peanut or other nut/seed butter works too)

  • 1 tbsp cacao powder (I use Navita’s Organic brand)

  • 3/4 cup oat milk (or milk of your choice)

  • tiny pinch of salt

*if you like it super duper icy cold, add a few ice cubes for extra lush & slush.

Blend all the ingredients until smooth! Don’t forget to post on Insta and tag me @katiewebbernyc
