Cocktail Time! Ginger Kombucha Margarita
It’s 5 o’clock (somewhere) and it’s time for a cocktail! If you know me, you know I love a good cocktail and you also know that I like to keep it low on the sugary drinks. I just can’t do anything that begins with a pre-made mix, but I also like a punch of flavor and not just a boring old vodka soda. My remedy? A ginger kombucha margarita!
So, I can’t lie, a great margarita is one of my favorite things ever (and a bad one is my least fave). It needs to be strong & sharp with a hint of sweet and a touch of salt. I don’t want my margarita to taste like limeade, I want it to taste like an adult bev that deserves to be sipped!
When I was inspired to make a cocktail, I wanted something that would be a bit special, but also not some super complicated moment. Then the lightbulb came on. Kombucha! Ginger kombucha!! The ginger gives a perfect kick of spice and the fresh citrus gives a sweet punch. And on top of it, you’re getting your immune boosting probiotics from the kombucha! Win-win!
I rimmed my glass with a mix of sugar, salt, and fresh orange zest. Perfection.
Anyone can make this drink and everyone will love it. It’s spiciness is perf for the holidays and it’s freshness is perfect poolside. Get into it!
