Frozen Mango (skinny) Margarita, with a chili salt rim
Just give me all the margs. Sorry, not sorry! They just make me happy! Yes, it’s summertime and the season for margaritas, but also, every season is margarita season to me!
So, I can’t be downing drinks that have a bunch of sugar. Any kind of added sugar in a cocktail and I have an instant headache. And honestly, my taste for cocktails is just not on the sweet side. I like a flavorful, refreshing, stiff drink! This one is perfect because the mango gives it’s natural sweetness, while the lime keeps it tart, and the ice makes if refreshing AF! And don’t forget that pinch of salt that takes this from a tequila cocktail to a proper margarita.
This frozen marg is basic. If you wanted to do any other fruit beside mango, have at it! Strawberries, pineapple, blueberries, watermelon, would all be excellent choices. I just suggest that whatever fruit you’re using is frozen. That way, you need less ice, which equals less watered down. Got me? Ok, here she is! Oh, and this recipe is for 2 margs. Enjoy!!
Frozen Mango Margarita
1 cup frozen mango
1 cup ice
juice of 2-3 limes
1/2 cup tequila
pinch of salt
Place all ingredients into a blender and blend’er! Serve immediately with a chili salt rim.
Chili Salt Rim
1 tsp salt

leftover lime
Pile the salt and chili powder on a small plate. Take your leftover lime rind that you used for your marg and run the flesh of the lime around the rim of your glass. Dip the moist rim of the glass into the chili salt mixture.
