I Wrote a Book!

As you may or may not know, I have been dancing on Broadway for the last 15 years. My career has been bountiful and beyond fulfilling! I have been in Broadway shows like Wicked, Memphis, Jersey Boys, Rock of Ages, Catch Me if You Can, Honeymoon in Vegas, Charlie & The Chocolate Factory, and most recently Tina, The Tina Turner Musical.

I am also a Certified Holistic Nutritionist! After a lifetime of struggling with disordered eating ranging from binge eating, to withholding food, I finally found freedom when I let go of the confines of dieting and focused on pure, clean food. This practice of clean eating ignited my creativity in the kitchen and my desire to share with others, which ultimately led me to become a certified health coach.

Being a dancer and a holistic nutritionist compliment each other in so many ways, and I feel that I am approaching food and my recipes from a very well rounded background that I feel so confident in. Sharing recipes with people and hearing that I have inspired them to cook more or eat more veggies is something that I cherish and carry with me always.

On Broadway we do eight shows a week, and for the last 15 years, I have been working on that schedule. It’s wonderful and fulfilling, but also grueling and exhausting. You get one day off per week and you work through the holidays, including doing a show on Christmas Day. I haven’t spent holidays or birthdays with my family in 15 years. Broadway life is incredible, but it’s a sacrifice.

The day the US stood still amidst the facing pandemic, I was set to perform that night. When we received word that we were goin dark for one month, we were shocked! Broadway never goes dark! Then the extensions came and here we are, not knowing if or when Broadway will be back.

So, here I am with time and a whole lot of creative energy on my hands! I knew instantly that I wanted to write a cookbook! I love sharing my recipes with you all, and now, you can all have a small piece of me with you! This book is over 150 pages of “Plant-Forward” recipes with the philosophy of simplicity, ease, and enjoyment. Tasty, healthy, simple cooking, at your fingertips!
