Blackberry Ranch Water

Blackberry Ranch Water

Y’all know about Ranch Water? It’s a super popular drink that hails from Texas, and it’s as simple as it is delicious and clean. My addition of blackberries take it to the next level!

Ranch Water is basically tequila, lime, and Topo Chico (a specific brand of sparkling mineral water that is extra crispy and amazing). I love Ranch water because it’s refreshing and oh-so light, and with the muddled blackberries, there’s a tart/sweet zing and insanely gorgeous color that makes it feel extra special.

This recipe makes about 2-3 Blackberry Ranch Waters.

*Note - I like a stiff drink. I’m going to give two different measurements for tequila - one that’s a bit more sensible and one that will really pack a punch. Choose your own adventure!

What You’ll Need…

  • 1 cup muddled or blended blackberries (raspberries or blueberries could work too)

  • !/2 cup lime juice (about 3-4 limes)

  • 3/4 cup good tequila, I like Casamigos - *1/2 cup for a softer punch

  • Ice

  • Topo Chico for topping off your cocktail (or other sparkling mineral water)

  • Big pinch of salt + more for rim

  • Lime wedges and/or skewered blackberries for garnish

What You’ll Do…

Muddle or blend your berries. I like to strain them afterward to remove seeds and get a super smooth drink, but this isn’t absolutely necessary. Combine your muddled berries, lime, and tequila in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake to combine. In a glass with ice, pour cocktail mixture in 3/4 of the way full. Top off with Topo Chico and enjoy!

*Tip! To rim your glass with salt… run a cut lime along the rim of your glass and dip the wet rim into a small pile of salt. Do this before filling your glass with ice :)
